Bangledesh is one of the world's most densely populated and poorest nation's, but efforts have long been underway to improve the health and wealth of its people. While many people around the world may be aware of the Grameen Bank and its micro-lending program, Grameen has also brached out into many ofther areas, including health care. At the 8th Annual World Health Care Congress, Md. Imamus Sultan, Managing Director, Grameen Kalyan and Grameen Health Care Services Limited, discusses how the organization has opened 53 rural health clinics, is training rural women to become quality nurses and is embarking on severeal other efforts to provide sustainable health care solutions. WHCC Correspondent Mabel Jong conducts the interview.
