If you stay under the radar, there will be two stealth bombers parked at the base that you can destroy and unlock an extra mission. But if you get spiked, they'll take off and leave the map. :)

its so hard to get there w/o being detected, i think i only did it like twice, and there isnt a big difference, cuz noone really leaves in time for you not to kill them.
