Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a devastating event, which is frequently treatable with great outcomes if all pieces of the system, both medical and public, are in place. The survival rate with good neurological function at hospital discharge for patients having suffered SCA is quite variable throughout the United States. The best survival rates occur in communities where an organized system has been created to optimize the detection and treatment of patients with SCA. Learn what other communities have done to improve survival rates and how a similar program might be developed here in Jackson County. This presentation is in partnership with State of Jefferson EMS Conference, Providence Medford Medical Center, and Ashland Community Hospital.
