Robert Cray - 12 Year Old Boy Solo

Robert Cray, in my opinion, is the greatest living guitarist. He has a great, unique sound, complemented with a smooth, soulful voice.

I had the priviledge of seeing the Robert Cray Band in an incredibly intimate setting on January 23, 2007. They performed at a small nightclub in Fort Lauderdale called the Culture Room.

This clip shows Robert Cray jammin' through the solo of "12 Year Old Boy" (Elmore James) on his signature Fender Stratocaster and it is the most intimate clip that you will find on youtube.

Greatest living guitarist ? Not sure about that . Ever hear Buddy Guy ? Eric Clapton has even said that Buddy Guy is the greatest living Guitarist and that before that it was Stevie Ray Vaughn

Yeah, that's pretty intimate; real clever to light his guitar during that solo. Cray's one of those guys, you can get the notes down but not the NUANCES of his solos...

Well to be fair NONE is the best blues guitar player. They are all different. Some are better with technicque, some are better with the feeling, some we simply don´t like them.

I really like Cray.
