Shamans/ wise people and healers are working now with our ancestors for healing our Mother Earth.
I circle around the Earth with my long plumed feathers as I fly. Grandmother Grandfather thank you for your love.

You ever do this on top of a mountain? That would be IT.

@Jaboie Absolutely I do - this is not true shamanic drumming, just a demo as you can not really really journey worrying about neighbours, noise and the camera. I normally get out to sacred stone circles in the full moons and new moons where the energies and singing totally transforms.

@simonralli Incredible. I was hiking in the superstition mountains and came across a giant circle of stones. Huge. It must have taken a year to build. I new it must be a special place. What is unique about these sacred areas? How did the indigenous people know where to build them?

@Jaboie Hi - It is quite difficult to say exactly how our ancestors chose their places for stone circles. If you look for simonralli (me) on Flickr you will find my shamanic collection of photos and can see a few ceremonies I have done. In the UK google "Thornborough Henge" "Dinas Emrys" "Bryn Celli Dhu" "Twelve Apostles Ilkley" and "Avebury Stone Circle" to find just a few of the many many amazing places I have done ceremonies.

how do you journey vividly

@ydrjtt This very much depends on you and it takes time. Some people use guided meditation techniques, such as to imagine themselves journeying from this world into the underworld, perhaps by imagining themselves to sink down through a waterfall or inside a large tree or down a tunnel. I have just set up a blog shamanicdrumming.co.uk where I will be posting much more information and to provide answers such as this, and my book has more information too (The Shaman and Snow White).
