These pedestrian safety gate were installed at a pedestrian crossing that had several fatalities. Since these gates were installed there have been no fatalities. The gates have operated 100% reliable since installation nearly 3 years ago. www.htsgroup.co.nz

  • Seems to be causing a lot of confusion this video is taken from the St Pats side of the railway. the trees in the back ground on the left hand side are at Silverstream school. The train is clearly a Tranz metro unit. We are happy to supply these gates and any of our other commercial automated gates around New Zealand. see our NZ website for details htsgroup

  • where does this video take place?

  • @claire1667 Wellington, New Zealand.

  • @HTSGroupLtd . Does not look like new Zealand.

  • @claire1667 you are most welcome to go and see them in a suburb of Wellington New Zealand.

  • why don't they honk there horns at the crossing?

  • @ADMIRALSCORNER 9 months later and we still need a crossing like this on the West Somerset Railway in the UK. Is it too late now or would further contact bring results? See the video series TORNADO AND MORE ACTION AT WATCHETS LEVEL CROSSING

  • @eamon54 yeah? so what does that mean? (its been awhile since we last commented)

  • @claire1667 You are misinformed. pause the action at the 0.27 mark and you will see tranz.metro logo on the train.

  • Having run around extensively in the area with the NZ Army I can confirm that it is indeed Silverstream in the Upper Hutt region of Wellington. Directly behind this photograph is St Patricks College Silverstream. I am aware that there have been a few fatalities as people sometimes try and beat the train. If you pause at the 0.27 mark you will see Tranz metro ensignia on the passing train.

  • Sounds like an american crossing bell.

  • What a great system. Its just what we need locally. See my youtube video upload titled WATCHETS LEVEL CROSSING. An approach to the West Somerset Railway may well bring a great benefit and relief to all!
