Italians thing them selves the descendents of Romans and in a way they are

But italy is not even 150 years old and during that time they have done nothing, they were a laughing stock in ww1 and ww2 and have done nothing of note since, If Italians believe themselves to be of Roman Decent then let them prove it and bring back their republic/Empire in all its Might and Glory, it can be done if things like this are used correctly in propaganda.

@USAPropaganda your comment is anacronistic. first of all italy has been divided from 500ad to 1861 ad that's why we were not a great power, then we have had a lot of problems mainly due to our divided history. we are not united as other nations are like in the US or UK who have a far stronger tradition than ours. Any way it is true what u say about ww2 but in the first we kicked some real ass both to the germans and austrians. I hope we'll manage to get a more united in the future.

@paganesenato ma io veramente non so cosa intenda tu per nordista; io non mi definisco certo uno del nord del centro o del sud sono italiano e basta e ne vado fiero. Però anche te, quando usi la parola "concittadini" uccisi rimarchi l'inesistente distinzione tra gli italiani che non ha alcun fondamento. If you cant feel united probably this is because many of the modern Italians have Germanic roots. I cant explain it elsewhere. The rome history is cool, its good to see people interested on it. We italians must not forgive our past, from where we came, but we must accept that it was the past and that the humanity had never lived in the past but always loocked to the fucture. All we can do is to learn from the past, loocking at the fucture, and be proud to what we are now (thanks also to our history)
