Tahtziki Dip what you will need for it. Recipe
3 Cups of plain greek yogurt (I recommend non fat greek yogurt for lower points if your on WW)
3 Tsps of Lemon Juice
1 Garlic Clove minced or 1/2 tsp of jarred minced garlic
2 medium cucumbers
1 tsp of dill or fresh dill whichever you prefer
Pepper is optional & what ever amount you want for taste
Salt is optional & what ever amount you want for taste
I added 1/2 tsp of pepper & some salt after it chilled in fridge for 2 hours.
Put all 3 cups of yogurt into a bowl, peel the cucumbers & slice them in half
Take all seeds from the cucumbers & then cut cucumber into pieces and add salt to absorb most of the water in the cucumbers, let the cucumbers set in the salt for 30 minutes, and then rinse the salt off and dry the cucumber pieces with paper towels.
In Food processor add cucumbers, minced garlic, lemon juice, & dill and black pepper (optional) Blend very well, And then add the blended ingredients into the 3 cups of yogurt, mix well & refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
4 oz. of the regular greek yogurt is only 4 points, so a point an oz.
If you use nonfat greek yogurt 1 cup is 3 points, and 2 tablespoons is 0 points with non fat, 3 tablespoons is 1 point on Weight Watchers. You can also use low fat and calculate your points with that. It is yummy & can be used on anything you wish, as a dip for veggies, baked chips or special k crackers or whatever you like. Enjoy ;-)
