From KETC, LIVING ST. LOUIS Producer Anne-Marie Berger looks back at a time when "real rock" music found a home on St. Louis' KSHE 95. In 2007, the radio station celebrated its 40th anniversary by creating a rock and roll museum with sound bites, music and pictures. They also brought back some of their former DJs that were among the first to play requests from listeners.
Too bad Rick Balis, J.C. Corcoran and Emmaus didn't receive more credit for their part in destroying KSHE! Anyone who listened to KSHE from the beginning understands what I mean. Talk and formula radio became their mantra. I guess nothing good ever lasts.

There is a giant tower in Brentwood on Hanley and Manchester and I thought it might have been that one.

And I wouldn't exactly describe Nickelback or 3 Doors Down as "new, wild, crazy, out there rock music".....

" Fortunately, there was such an outcry KSHE returned to its real roots"????!!!!!
Too bad they've strayed from it again ...Nickelback or 3doors down etc... is what you might hear now days...
