  • I hated when a sandstorm caught you there...

  • @SardaukarPrime hehe, i actualy did that on purpose, wanted to fit veriety into it as this regeon can look completely different at different times and in different weather so i included that since its a vid about the regeon, i also kind of like the occasional ash storm when playing, gives the game a sense of danger and atmosphere when traversing harsh terain. its not like i am getting real ash in my face and sand in my shoes ;)

  • Aaaah, good times. I remember Morrowind as a real RPG, huge world, whole bunch of skills, interesting plot and atmosphere. Plus, it was perfectly playable without tone of mods, unlike Oblivion, which is basically random-fantasy mod template.

  • @Andriej69 i totaly agree with you :)

  • I really like the music! Bravo to Jon Babb!

  • the while map of Morrowind was massively awesome. So much terrain variety and it was unpredictable giving the player a sense of adventure whether they followed the road or went off it.

  • @Ig99 Amen to that

  • @Andriej69 Exactly. They took a template, and built very little of their own stuff on it. Another issue is that your sort of handcuffed to the main quest, Morrowind's was very unobtrusive. It's hard goofing off when the Emeperor died right before you, and said that the fate of the world hinged on my involvement. I certainly don't hate Oblivion, it's just that so much more could have been done with it. Thank God for the TESCS and everyone who uses it.

  • @Ig99 Setting isn't the worst on it's own, but plot and characters themselves are really poorly developed and forgettable, especially with protagonist, you're not The One, but just helper of The One, plus that escorting missions at the end( damn it I hate them). Story ( including some main quests) is the biggest downside. As for your reply, don't fell bad about it, this characters limit on Youtube is really fucking annoying sometimes... Cheers

  • @Andriej69 I'm hope I don't sound like I'm trying to pound you into submission with my opinions, I do understand your how you feel, I'm just trying to explain myself. Sorry for the long-ass message. I'm bad at this.

  • @Andriej69 That said, having a more traditional fantasy settting wasn't the problem. It could have been interesting on it's own merits. The cities had there unique designs, but lacked character. The dungeons had good atmosphere, but they were designed by one guy. I'm just saying that having a Gondor style setting wasn't automatically a bad idea, just that they had to work hard to prevent it from being cliche. Which they didn't. It wasn't bad, just far from great. Continued-->

  • @Andriej69 My issue with fast travel was that it made the game feel smaller. Since there was a Mage Guild in EVERY city, as opposed to Morrowind, they could have maintained the Guild teleporters. Also mark and recall spells or carriages. Or an option to turn it off. I know it's a big help, it's just not for me. The point is, they could have had more immersive means for quick travel.
