DYBIG Chapter 27

Okay, I would like to thank two awesome people:
1. Jayme (Jonasbrosfan1324) for making this incredibly awesome intro for my story. It’s so amazing so don’t forget to watch that and leave her a comment on her page!

I yawn and stretch my arms as the first rays of dawn shine across my face and smile as I recall the events of the procuring night.
My eyes remain shut, crusted over with seep. I feel a heavenly soft pair of lips touch my temple and I stir. I rub my eyes, and as they flutter open his angel-like face smiles down at me. He is home. He is mine.
"“Hey"” I murmur. His grin widens.
“"Hey,"” He whispers back. "“How’'d you sleep?"”
“"Really well, actually,"” my voice cracks, my vocal chords still asleep. “"Wait-,"” I frown. "“Did we…...?"” He shakes his head.
"“No, don’t worry. Besides, I don’t even know if that’s possible!"” He laughs. I can hear Dee stir from her cot across the room, and she yawns.
“"God, how early do you guys have to get UP? We can only sleep until a certain point anyway! Sheesh.”" She grumbles sleepily. Nick and I laugh.
Dee stretches and cracks open an eyelid. She sees Nick cradling me in his arms and grins.
"“Well, it’s about time, isn’t it?”"
“"Dee!"” I exclaim. She shrugs and flops back onto her cot, causing it to squeak horribly. Nick laughs and kisses me softly.
And for the first time since I’'ve come to this godforsaken place, I do not think about how hard my life is. About how many people I’'ve hurt. About Penny.
I only think of Nick. We are in love, and that is all that will ever matter. I will love him forever.
"“Allie, let’s go get breakfast,”" Dee commanded, bringing me back from my thoughts.
The day was perfect. There was no school so I spent my day with Dee and Nick just hanging out and being happier than I’ve been in a very long time. I didn’t think about the trial. I didn’t think about anything! (A.N., hello Brittany! This is where I began to get writers block if you couldn’t tell already! And to everyone, I apologize for the lameness of the rest of this chapter :-/)
After breakfast, Nick and I went back to the room. We were talking when the lady with the library cart knocked on our door. I walked up.
"“Good morning miss Carpenter!”" She chirped happily. I smiled. She was a sweet old lady. “"Would you like a book to pass the time?"” I nodded.
"“Okay, what do you recommend?”" I asked. She grinned and held up one that I’'d never heard of.
“"This is Anthem, by Ayn Rand. It’s fantastic! You will love it, I promise!”" I took the book and thanked her. After she left, I set the book on my cot and went back to my seat beside Nick.
He hugged me and I breathed in his unbelievably wonderful smell. You know, unbelievable because he’s a ghost and that doesn’t make any sense. He lightly kissed my neck.
"“I thought she'’d never leave"…” he whispered, kissing me. I laughed.
"“She was here for like…, two minutes!”"
"“That’s two minutes longer than she should’ve been here"”
“"Psh, be nice Nicholas,"” He smirked.
"“I don'’t have to be nice, I'’m you’re boyfriend"” He murmured. I pulled away and raised an eyebrow, giggling a little.
“"Nick- that didn’t even make sense,”"
"“I don'’t have to make sense! I’m-“" I cut him off.
“"My boyyfrieeenddd.”" I sang.
“"You’'ve got it,"” He sang back.

Super lame chapter, but Anthem is actually an important part for later, it wasn’t just random lol.

Anthem is a story about a world that is supposed to be a Utopia- and the whole society does everything for one another (kind of like communism) and the word "I" doesn't exist. So this guy escapes from the world with this girl where they create a new society where they can be their own person. It's an awesome book, we read it for school and I loved it
