  • Flawless, a truly EPIC performance, one for the ages.

TRUE TALENT unlike the current garbage truck full of tripe that passes for "singing" on American Idol. Here is a STAR defining the ART!

  • I know Miss Uggams is a star but she should have been much, much bigger. She's brilliant!

  • nice song . like it

  • At the time of the concert - Jerry Herman - the writer of the song - was quite ill and could not stand as often as would have been needed for that concert

  • @destined9000 Are you serious?!? I disagree

  • I adore The Eydie Gorme version of this song and did not think anyone could come near it or equal it ,but I had forgotten what an alluring and incredble singer/ actress/musician Leslie Uggams was and her great performance in Jerry's Girls which I saw in the 80's, this brought it all back and now I have two great versions of this great song and Lansbury's very good one. Julie Budd is good too but no Gorme or Uggams!

  • KIZZIE!

  • they didn't give this woman and her incredable performance A STANDING OVATION?

Short of offering up one of her ogans for transpant on demand, she couldn't have given this audience more. Well, at least she walked off the stage hearing thunderous appluase...

  • Thank you BestArtsBroadway for posting this classic from one of my beautiful yesterdays because Leslie Uggams helped make it so. Here's to a real lady with her class and style intact.

  • i think she is a little pitchy..

  • I couldn't put into words how I adore this song and how she sang the hell out of it! Fantastic

  • It's a toss up between her and Eydie Gorme... They both belt out this song.. I like the arrangement on Leslie's version... Eydie's arrangement was perfect for its time... It wasnt meant as Torch Song" when Angela sang it on broadway, but it has become one now.. 4 stars...
