It's not "social experimentation" because nearly all other Western countries have been allowing gays and lesbians to serve openly for a while now, and they're doing fine.

@atheistram That's the ludicrous thing. I'm in the USCG and I hear stories all the time of men and women getting in trouble for having inappropriate relations. Nothing will change. If a man and woman from the same unit can't have relations the same will apply to same sex relations. Enlisted and Officer men and women can't have relations and the same will apply for same sex Enlisted and Officers.
It just shows what a closed minded bigot he truly is.
