Reno Air Races 2009: View From Pylons

The Blue Angels started the weekend off in Reno's Stead Field! It was awesome and the clips are here with the Top Gun song. The races follow in this video with a Pink Floyd cover. My father was working as race course security for the Pylon Judge Organization and he had a blast - bringing these videos for us to see.
Steve "Strega" Hinton is the 2009 Unlimited Winner in his P-51D with an average speed of 498 MPH and Curt "Viper" Brown in his L-29, like last year, is the Jet Winner at 525 MPH.

Wow. "Top Gun" music played over the sounds of the planes one more time. I don't understand why people do this and never will.

Nice video! There are a couple of segments, however, where there are no airplanes visible for several seconds. I think background music would be okay as long as it isn't associated with another aviation video/movie like Top Gun. =8-)

Thanks! Reza, is it? Originally we wanted it to be more of a music video. If we do another upload I'll drop the music volume down a bit so the engine roar comes through a bit more.
