my buddy put one of those engines on a 21 ft hewes redfisher, jackplate, trimtabs chopper prop. it pushed that boat around like a toy, one hell of a ride lol

Yes, all motors can work in salt or fresh. The "SALTWATER" motors are no different. It's just the decals and a marketing stategy.

Basically, the answer ir yes. All rhe performance boats need to be run and set up correctly. I always try to break them in for the customers. If I was to leave it to them, they may have problems. It's not like it's a fishbote or some dorky bowrider.
