I didnt actually take oranges or roses. Thats a jinx right there, but honestly I knew we were in for a battle, NW has had our number the last 10 years. Its total BS that a dream season like this one has to be ruined by a team who will turn around and lose by 3 touchdowns to whoever they play next week.
I didnt think there was a reason for a naked bootleg in the end zone with Stanzi... but I guess O'keefe thought he would somehow bust out a Tim Tebow like move....straight garbage.
But it's all a moot point since we lost to NW. OF COURSE Stanzi HAD to get hurt!! I quit. From #4 to unranked in 2 weeks after Ohio kills us. Hello Alamo Bowl!!!
I give Stanzi huge props for coming back from that adversity last saturday. To throw 5 picks and then keep coming back like that? That's toughness. But that's also Indiana. He's not getting away with that against Ohio State or against whomever we play in our bowl game.
Yep, but even Ferentz says, quote, "If the computers had eyes and could see us play, trust me, they'd be saying, 'Are you kidding me?'. But that's what I love about Kirk- he tells it like it is. He's not blowing smoke up anyone's ass. Meanwhile, Urban Meyer and Mack Brown are just the opposite. I get it- 9-0 is 9-0. We definitely deserve our rankings for the most part- we are one of just 7 undefeated teams. Our defense can hang with most of these big time teams, but our offense? Not so much.
the picks were bad but i was at that game and the wind was real bad if not for the wind a couple of those picks would have been TDs you would be hard pressed to find a team that can put up 28 points in the 4th quarter like iowa did against IU. when the game is on the line the iowa offense can play with anybody. iowa has outscored its opponents like 103-38 in the 4th quarter this year. and remember IU is not a great team but they are far from a bad team.
That's true. It seemed like both teams were having trouble throwing the ball in that direction. Stanzi should be okay this weekend- it's supposed to be in the high 60s!
