Bargnani@Jazz / Dec. 5th, 2008 w/Colangelo comments

another night to forget for Bargs and the Raps.

Bargnani's only positive note was his half decent defense with 4 blocks and 6 rebounds.

Nice words from Brian Colangelo re. Andrea's game but maybe he should explain why AB worked his ass off all summer to learn the 5, gained weight and strenght and now suddenly he finds himself at the small forward position. Does not make any sense to me. I think management and coaching staff should make things clear about what they want to do with AB since it seems to me that the kid is slowly but surely looking like he did last season, confused, bad shot selection, bad shot overall and, most important, doesn't look happy at all and seems to have lost the motivation he had in first couple of games.

He should be (and remain) first big off the bench for the season!

Bargnani looks lost a lot of the time.

in the last couple of games, yes. thats probably because he find's himself playing as a PF, C and SF in the same game! He starts at the 3, then JO is out and Bargs takes over the 5. When Bosh is out, JO is at the 5 and Bargs at the 4... It's not a good thing if you want to develop a young player for a specific position. he should be first big off the bench for now.

Read your comments and I agree... I think on sunday we will see joey start at the three and Bargs will come off the bench as a big, They really dont have a choice though as Hump is hurt now.

you know, OCCASIONALLY it would even be ok to starg bargs at the 3, it depends on the match-ups (which was Smitch's original idea...). I see no point starting bargs at 3 when he then has to guard the likes of i.e. c.anthony. I'd also like to see Joey getting some more minutes.

Ha ha, you don't have to... anyway he's really playing well recently. I just don't see why the Raptors signed O'Neal for about 20 mln $ a year!!With that mone they could hire Ray Allen!

He can play C...but o'neill is o'neill...

toronto isn't good for Bargnani's development...

I'm italian and I prefer Bargnani...but it's better to play Graham as SF...
