In this week's cooking video I show you how to make a quick & easy side dish that is perfect to whip up any night of the week. If you are in the U.S. consider making this recipe to take to a Thanksgiving party this week.

Ingredients:

-Turkey Bacon (or any bacon of your choice...you can also leave it out.)
- 1-2 pounds of green beans
-Olive oil
-Water
-Salt & pepper

Step 1: Crisp up bacon-
- add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a pot on medium high heat
- Chop bacon into bite size pieces and add to pot
- separate bacon with spoon or tongs
- cook on medium/high heat for 8-10 minutes or until crispy
- drain on paper towel and set aside

Step 2: Cook green beans-
- add frozen or fresh green beans to same pot used to crisp bacon
- add 1/4 cup of water and cover
- cook on high for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
- uncover and cook another 5 minutes until most of water has evaporated
- add some bacon bits and stir
- serve on platter and top with more bacon bits.

Enjoy!

  • Wow a family favorite.....When my kids were small we lived on scant cash but always had home canned green beans. We would simmer some chunked potatoes, when just tender add a jar of beans, a bullion cube and some bacon. Simmer together until potatoes were done. It was an inexpensive dinner served with home baked bread and butter. Having not much cash makes you be very inventive and use your imagination

  • doesn't shot science use the same intro and outro and song

  • i used to be a green bean..but then i took an arrow to the knee...and now im just a bean....er....
