This was our first climb in Glencoe in 1967 with John Jackson, Iain Nicholson, Ra Carrington and Ian Fulton. "Big Iain" and Rab went on to bigger things with me trailing only managing to lead Gallows later in the year while they did El Torro and the Bat. Returned July 2011, 44 years later with my pal Dr Kelly, to do Agga's again. Met up with "Big Iain", now President of the Craig Dhu, for a few bottles of wine. Great week with all the boys.
I had the joy of doing this route back in 95' when I was a wee lad of 18. I was visiting York and had the good fortune of meeting some cool climbers at a pub. The Brits really know their climbing! That mountain is truly stunning. I hope to return someday. Cheers from Halifax, NS!
Got back yesterday from Etive Mor. Spent Saturday getting my girlfriend up to standards at the the crags at the foot of Rannoch Wall, then up Agag's groove on Sunday. Weather was amazing, views were awesome. Descent was murder!
Excellent stuff, I'm off to climb Agag's Groove today. Taking my girlfriend for her first multi-pitch. Just leaving the house. I'll let you know how it goes!
This the only multi pitch route ive ever done and i absolutely loved it. Big good holds, good for a begginer, tremendous exposure though. Always wanted to do january jigsaw next to it but climbing partner moved country :((, good video
Took me back & reminded me of the gear we used - looks primitive & heavy by today's standards.
