After safely protecting investors for over six decades a little known SEC rule was quietly removed on July 6, 2007.

With the removal of this rule all the rules of trading and investing in the market went out the window.

One of the reasons for the markets current volatility is a direct result of this rule change.

This major SEC rule was designed to protect investors.

With the removal of this rule, professional traders and hedge funds will be able to suck money out of the market and your portfolio in no time flat.

  • @foosless you can diversify all you want, if the entire market is down then instead of having 1 or 2 stocks down, you have 10 down so congrats.

  • only 912 views when this video tells the world how the SEC got bought out to f*ck the economy. if Obama is the real deal then he will see to it that Mary shapiro reinstates the uptick rule.

  • invest in foreign markets

  • I agree the uptick rule being removed was not a smart move and have no idea why they would remove it. Although they did test it, it was only tested in one type of market scenario. BUT! trading pairs is a waste of time and money in the long run. What we need to do as investors is protect ourselves by diversifying our investments. And for long term investors we must control our emotions!
