I know no one here is going to believe me, but my dad wrote this song. If you look it says written by Jerome Geisinger on the website. That's my dad ^_^ I got to admit it's pretty cool his song is on youtube. He's old friend's with Arthur :)

@NadarCosainAmber It could also be as The Macha, Morrigu's sister is seen as a mother deity :)

@LilyofAscholate Out of curiosity where is the source for the name Morrigan as an alternative? I have never seen her aspect of the triple goddess called Morrigan in Celtic literature, either translated into English or in the original text, and so am curious as to that connection. Typically I have seen Arianrhod as the mother/time and Morrigan as the crone/war/death, or alternatively Morrigan as the mother, but never Arianrhod and Morrigan as the same entity. Thanks and Goddess bless!

Arianrhod is a very ancient welsh deity who was ruler of the Milky Way. (Caer Sidi) In Welsh legend, she is not a fictional figure but considered an ancestress. Many of the figures in the Mabinogion are the seen as the ancestors of the modern welsh, and the tales are the remnants of this memory. The Mab is an account of pre celtic tribes, their 'dynasty; their battles and their beliefs in a vibrant spirit world that existed alongside their own. Ditto the Tain of Ireland.

@steev75 - depending on what you read, EVERY goddess becomes a "mother goddess" or "moon goddess" - this is because new age books tend to be pure pap that are more marketing than fact. Arianrhod was not a goddess, exactly; More of a heroic character, a foe to Lleu and Gwydion

what is the story of the castle of Arianhrod?
Arianhod is part of the Arthurian legends that is believed to have a basis in Welsh/Gaelic mythos. Arianhod is the Celtic Goddess of the Moon, stars and sky. Her other names would be Margawse or Morrigan. Her castle being a spiraling Caer Sidi (magical fortress). The song is wonderful for her.
