Star Ocean 4 The Last Hope Gabriel Celeste Battle

I kind of put Gabby off for awhile, but here he is. Thanks to the Metal Scumbag levelling all of my guys are Level 255. But more important than level is your equipment. After extensive synthesis my melee people all have at least ATK+54% on their weapons, and wrist equipment with another ATK+20%, Rush Gauge +2, and 5 jewels' worth of Ashlay's monster jewel stats on them. And everybody has a neck accessory that nullifies paralysis (very important for Gabby), silence, and void along with +20 in every elemental resist.

So basically after all that Gabby is not that challenging. He still does a ton of damage (I haven't done much synth on my armor either) and he has Guardless so he basically doesn't stagger, so anything that keeps you close to him is a bad idea. Therefore I'm using Meracle's Drill Spike hit-and-run along with Reimi for backup damage. It was pretty easy to get Meracle's "Defeat Gabby in 10 minutes" BT this way.

Once again it looks like Myuria has 'run up to the scary boss and try hitting him instead of casting spells' disease. Bad AI, shame on you.

Note: After making this video I I found out that he gets significantly stronger each time you fight him, with the third and subsequent times he uses his 'true power' (shows all of his wings) and he uses moves he hadn't before. If I have the opportunity I'll make another vid of him showing his 'true power'.

Can someone tell me any strategy that doesn't involve Meracle or Reimi? They always seem to be used for every strategy...

wow gabriel is in star ocean 4 as well? I remember my first time fighting him in star ocean 3 that fucking electric attack was so annoying. Paralysis and 1 hit koes every player and I could never dodge it but now he is easy.

What difficulty is this? I had a lot more trouble my first time but I was level 110 on Universe, using Edge as an evasion tank and Faize as my offensive symbologist?

this boss is located at the "7 Star Dungeon", go to Tatroi Colosseum and went left. Move along the Floor until you reach a door with a white Seal. Open that seal with the Darkness Ring and enter.
