Nope, sorry, got to disagree with you. Erique's tone here is more like the muffled sound, for lack of a better term, Jimi had at the Isle of Wight Festival.

this is so useless..why playing like Jimi?? Hendrix did it, and nobody ever will get close to him, because he was an innovator..Jimi didn´t copy anyone, because he was an artist..this is more like a circus act, trying to be like him. It is against everything Jimi ever stood for..it´s not even good, because all the things that made Hendrix special ist missing, the blues, the soul, the little things that touch you, inspires you..is it not better trying to get your own sound?
