For me, and im not the one, Audioslave was the best rock band of 2000's

we must stop constantly belittle this great band.

You have to understand that Chris is a cameleon musician, and he was right to work in or with TOTD, Soundgarden, timbaland, Audioslave, Gabin, Slash, solo etc...

the fact that he chose to try other styles make him a different artist, a big artist, his "roots" is grunge, pop, rock, heavy metal, beatles, led zep, not only Soundgarden

Audioslave is watered down Soundgarden. Chris's best work was, hands down in Soundgarden. The true, booming rhythm of SG stomps on the rock/rap/funk feel of Audioslave (because of the RATM influenced rhythm). I love RATM, but they neverblended well with Chris's true rock/punk roots, IMO.
