Some tips for helping you decide when its time to change your water
1. If you are topping off your water keep a record of how much you are adding. If you've replaced at least half your resevoir change out your water and remix your nutrients.
2. Every two weeks.
3. If you've made a mistake adjusting your PH or with adding your nutrient replace and remix your resevoir.
4. If you've spotted infected plants where you cannot control the infection its a good idea to remove these plants, clean and remix the resevoir.
5. Bacteria growth in your resevoir can rob your plants of the nutrients they need, clean and remix the resevoir.

When cleaning the resevoir use a 10% bleach solution and rinse well before adding the fresh water.

  • ok so do you have to have a reservoir if you only have just a dwc system

  • @wutitdew000 If you're just doing single buckets you dont have to. If you want to link multiple buckets together I would recommend a recirculating/under current DWC system. I plan to make a video about this kind of system in the future.

  • is their a difference in dwc and reservior or is that the same thing jw btw?

  • @wutitdew000 DWC is a style of hydroponics. A reservoir referes to your water storage. So all hydroponic systems have reservoirs but not all reservoirs are DWC systems.
