They make treadmills that don't require power, infact the first ones made were just belts on rollers. The idea behind generating power from it is quite simple, not that it would be enough to power a gym.

Are you serious, energy is used to run the belts on a treadmill, forcing the user to run. How can you extract energy from that? The amount of energy required to run a single light bulb will result in an extremely strenuous task. If that was to work, perhaps the gym should be paying us.

Even aside of those who are living without electricity, I've always wondered why all gyms don't generate electricity off of their treadmills, ellipticals, etc. One day...

Cool idea. Anyone got a clue what the background music is called?

I love this idea.... so much developmental enrichment for children, when they engage in playing ball.... how great to capture energy at the same time!

Thanks you batvette for your interest in The SOCCKET. I am happy to address your concerns. Please find our response below:

"Give a kid a new ball, in an hour he's lost it, it has a hole in it or it's been stolen."

We too were concerned about creating a ball that would easily deflate and become useless after a short time. Because of this and other concerns we that arose in field tests we have used a different production method than a traditional soccer ball. The SOCCKET does not deflate beca

It's as if some people have never had kids. Give a kid a new ball, in an hour he's lost it, it has a hole in it or it's been stolen. One claim says "it never gets deflated". If that were possible regular soccer balls would have incorporated this years ago. it's a cute idea until you actually try it.
