The bottom line is this is all about a "New World Order."
Get a "King James Bible" and read "Jude."
Jude describes this last age without flaw.

As far as the highway issue, it is true that there is a National Highway system, but I was talking about "roads". You made it sound like if there wasn't a federal government, that people wouldn't have a road to drive on. States do build and maintain the roads within the state. And yes, municipalities build roads within the cities, and Counties within the counties.
As far as the unnecessary ad hominems, you are absolutely right, I have no right to take my frustration out on you. I apologize.

My opinion on Schools is that the federal government has done as good of a job as they have done on everything else they have controlled and monopolized.
Our school system is a joke because the government does not allow competition within the system.
When a parent can choose the school their child goes to, it forces schools to be the best they can be in order to get the students.
Though personally, I think the public school system is a joke and should be done away with.

OK, so the federal government gives no money to the National Highway System. Oh, and the Interstate Highway System is completely state supported (or, perhaps it's built with funds from municipalities).
This is twice you have offered an ad hominem attack suggesting I "don't know something." When you characterize people as deficient, you take away from your own arguments.
I have read considerable Libertarian literature. It would appear that your opinions (mostly on schools) differ.
-
I see you didn't bother to do any homework before you posted.
Libertarians are not anti government, we simply believe that we don't need a huge Federal Government ruling the whole country. We believe that individual states are able to govern locally much better. And states handle road building, not the federal government, btw.
And personally I am willing to give ground on the schools, as long as parents could choose what school to send their kids to, that would improve everything.
-
I do read the news. I work for a large national news network. And I wrote my comment prior to the House's vote.
Libertarians would cause government as we know it to cease to exist utterly. That means no road building. Schools would be private only. Hospitals would receive no government funds and would be for-profit-only ventures. Don't have any money? Don't get sick and your children will grow up illiterate.
Members of both sides opposed the bill. But the Bushies wrote the 1st draft.
-
70% of the people(CNN poll) either do not want a bill or think the current bill is not good enough. Lets just have no bill, see if the economy stabilizes. If in a month or two, we find ourself in another great deppression then it will just be the fault of american people and (this time) no blame can be put on the government for making their initial mistake worst. Don't really know if anyone knows whats right or wrong anymore.

When the socialists got in power that's what caused this mess. Starting with Carter interfering with the banks and furthered by Clinton. Instead of CEO's spreading the wealth and the jobs, theses politicians put the PAC money in their pocket, Obama and Johnson and Raines cooked the books for millions. The Eichmann-Bolshevick Democrats are destroying the free markets for their personal gain.
people from other countries are laughing at us for even considering this stupid proposal.. what are we retarded or something? .. let me get this straight, fix the problem of the people who caused the problem... hmmm ya sounds like a great plan, if you want to screw the citizens over!!! .. these people should be prosecuted not helped!

How about we close the stock markets (the gambling casinos) and start sharing the world resources in a rational and ethical fashion?
