What a negative, rude remark - what is wrong with gay anyway. This song has remarkable lyrics - 'wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then' is a sentiment anyone with half a brain can relate to. Sorry you're not in a position to appreciate it. It's your loss.

This is one of the best songs ever written, if not THE BEST. Judging by by your feeble attempt at writing, what could you possibly know about it anyway? Had all of his albums. This track is good but even better is "Feel like a number" - now that's a statement aboout identification. Check it out!!

I wish that I had been the man that seger sings about, but really I've just blown in the breeze. Yet the song strangely instills in me a feeling of hope and identification despite the fact that it wasn't me. Maybe its just because the song is so well written, or maybe it is because, even if we go along with what society wants from us, we all wish we were that guy!
