Did the Clerk confirm in the affirmative that it was an Early Day Motion or did he confirm it to be a Substantive Motion?

You ought to see the speaker we have now, this fellow may have been a wet fish, but the one we have now is an arrogant little tit

Gosh how I envy the Parliamentary tradition of UK! Here in Brazil we have had political crisis in the Senate last year and also in 2007, and we've had each time more or less 3 quarters of struggling while trying to impeach the speakers, and through technicalities, both of them, got away with it!

@ToxicOdiousOne not easy to say. its the lower house of parliament. but unlike in the US, its the only elected house, whereas the upper house, the house of lords is appointed. The HoC is also sovereign int he UK and is the supreme law making body

@ToxicOdiousOne Scotland is represented in the British Parliament. The House of Commons is like the senate. The other body, The House of Lords, is not like either the house of rep or the senate.

He has a Scottish accent? The House of Commons is like the House of Representatives or the Senate?
What? LOL. How did you get from the UK's Speaker of the House of Commons to that crazy lady Sarah Palin? lol
