  • Box cutter? Haha, that is a Cold Steel AK-47, if I'm not mistaken.

  • @Febeleh Correct you are,sharp eye ! ; )

I do open a lot of boxes w/ it...it's just nice to know I can open anything else as well, lol.

Thanks for watchin' & commenting,I'm gonna have to do a review about it,I simply love this knife...and all the unique & utilitarian features of it.

  • Excellent video Allen! Do you think you can make a video on how to choose a good piece of basswood for carving. I know recently I have bought a couple blocks that are junk. They came from New York so I thought it would be softer. It seems to where my knifes out. Help

    Thanks

  • @extremewhitetail Thank you, that sounds like a great idea for a video in the future. I used to work at a place that sold only carving supplies, tools, wood, etc. They did not know the difference between southern & northern basswood, and they were supposed to be "in the know",lol.

I can relate to this very well,I always tell folks the best I have come across is from "Heinecke Wood Products",their prices are hard to beat, and are great folks to deal with also.

  • @harryfaber Thanks for the nice compliment and thank's for watching, maybe this vid will help you learn to put a keen edge after going through the actual sharpening process. I learned from my papaw, after many yrs. of watching him...I finally learned by doing, therefore I have concluded...If I can do it...anybody can.

  • Excellent and clear video. I wish I had taken more notice of how my dad did it when I had the chance. He used a leather strop with jewellers rouge, but I was more interested in other thngs, and never really learned how to sharpen tools properly.

  • @Trigcure Thanks, I kinda like the patina myself. Thanks for watchin' !
