Oh bullshit! I grew up on the Allman Brothers. I am as big an Allman Bros fan as you will ever find but this version is at LEAST as good. Did you fucking HEAR the guitar work from Frank on this? And did you HEAR that guy singing(wish I knew who it is)? Those are INCREDIBLE blues vocals. Be a little more objective and open your mind. Just because it's not the version you're used to hearing doesn't mean it's not as good.

Zappa was hands down the MOST UNDER-RATED guitar player EVER! I have seen some of the best, but no one compares Frank. Saw him do Stairway to Heaven once, brought the house down. Amazing

The son of two opera singers, Robert Martin was trained as a classical French horn player at the prestigious Curtis Institute in Philadelphia. There he studied with Mason Jones, principle horn of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and played week after week under the greatest conductors in the world. He would use that experience to good advantage when transitioning into the realm of recording and world tours with the upper echelon of pop music stars.

I saw Robert "Bobby" Martin with TWF Ray White and Ike Willis in Chico last week. I first heard RM sing this FZ at the Bezerkeley Community Theater back in '82. It was April Fools Day too. He sings it today as good as then if not better. When I asked him about The Allman Brothers Band edition he said that's what he was shooting for. He love's Greg Allmans version and hopes everyone likes his too. He's a real nice man and a great Mother of a musician!

Frank knew how to pick 'em!
