The nearest town to Linn Valley, La Cygne (The Swan), is 8 miles away.

The large reservoir/fishing lake (with power plant and huge catfish), also named La Cygne is
only a few miles away.

By amazing coincidence, the piece "La Cygne" by Camille Saint-Saens - from "Carnival of the Animals" -- you can hear playing over the radio in car, from Kansas City's classical/NPR station.

update of info--turns out Linn Valley is an incorporated class-3 city now. All but 200 acres of the city is the private development of Linn Valley Lakes.
