1989 notchback mustang restoration

my car's journey through life. sorry just a slideshow. car has been sold for almost a year now. if you want to see video of it in action my youtube friend andrew1501 has a video racing his friend with a turbo acura rsx. car had auto trans and 275 rwhp at that time. when i sold the car i had put in the 5 speed with a tune and was making 320 rwhp when i last had it. Will be getting my second notch soon. 90 with a sprayed 408w going in it. will have build up videos of that in a few months

Right now, I am just fixing little things and just got done putting a new MSD Ignition system in it. In the next few months I plan to put a Vortech blower on it and turn the boost up, my goal is 600rwhp and make it a Vette/Cobra killer!

@Lawgiver45 yeah i always wanted MSD when i had it, never got around to gettin it though. but thats awesome, you rebuildin the block and lowering the compression to put the blower on? cuz thats a stock crank and rods, flat top pistons though. how much boost you plannin on runnin with it?

@tj306notch Nah, the 10:1 compression should be just fine with the E303 cam, as long as the tune is safe. I only plan to run 10-12 psi boost to start, which should be pretty easy on it so the rods should hold up. Obviously this won't get me to my ultimate goal, but it should at least get me over 500rwhp which should turn the car into an absolute missile! Most likely a forged low compression 347 stroker kit will be added later to achieve the 600-650rwhp goal!

OH man This brought back so many memories.Thank you.I got my first car in high school a lx 4 cylinder my dad said if I worked that summer and payed the car off.He would put a 302 in for me I did .My dad and I shoulder to shoulder put that beef in that car and I was a hero in the small town I came from.My dad has past away now and im actually looking around for another car to do the same with as a tribute.Enjoy these wicked special times bud they are gone to fast..Great video..
