A borrowed camera, a six hour drive with one CD stuck in the car stereo. My first visit to the beautiful land of Ice, with the best tour-guide / friend a guy could want. Whilst there, the story of the dilapidated fish factory unfurled before my eyes and ears.
The great dreams of a small community (and an homage to Sigur Ros thrown in for good measure).

Very good movie Jonny, I just saw it tonight, just got back from the sea we had some good herring cathes this summer (ironic) hehe
p.s the hotel is actually the old womens quarters renovated but still the old house anyway´s take care and hope to see you soon

Jonny Thanks alot. We had good times in Djupavik and me and Jón Bjarki are going there tomorow to salibrate our grandfather's birthday. Me and my family will fly there (i just got my pilot licience) Amazing work Loved the film and p.s You are always welkome back.

Thanks Kris! I still haven't got round to sending you guys a DVD, the least I could do... I'm so jealous you're going back, and flying there too! I had an amazing time with you, and can't wait for the chance to return. Maybe next summer... Say hi to everyone there from me!

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. I stayed at Djúpavík twice last year. It holds a very special place in my heart. Just one thing - Eva and Asbjorn's hotel IS the old women's quarters; it's not a new building on the same site. Thank you for making this gem and putting it up.
