Well, generally when I say heavy I mean better lol, not necessarily heavy per se though but I can see what you mean. BUT I do happen to to know that other bands also had more skill than Metallica, and some other bands that came around in the years after have been much better but do not get the same acknowledgement in the metal community as Metallica

I said its stupid on the account of not liking a band because of how heavy they aren't like other bands. I am not picky on the heavy style I am looking for. If it feels right with me, then its great to me. I listen to far different music genres than most people, especially for my age but know heavy metal can't be topped and I have my favorite heavy bands, favorite metal bands and favorite other bands of the different fields of metal styles there are.

Why? Because I have a different taste than a general run of the mill metal head? I respect Metallica in the sense that they helped get Metal out to people but I don't think they are as wonderful as people chalk them up to be
