Though succesful genetic testing has never come out of the Kennewick remains, several other (and older) remains have been successfully analyzed. According to research compiled by Dr. David Smith and Fredirika Keastle, mtDNA had been extracted from the remains found at Hourglass Cave, Wizards Beach, and On Your Knees Cave. Keep in mind that these remains are all older than 8,000 yrs, and are said to be different than modern Native Americans, yet they had haplogroups B, C, and D.

Not necessarily. Paleo South Americans more closely resembled Melenasians, Australian Aboriginees, and Africans, While Paleo North Americas resembled Polynesians.
