Andrei Merkuriev Interview

He was born in Syktyvkar (Komi Republic). In 1996, he completed his training at Ufa Ballet School.
From 1996-97, he was a member of the Opera and Ballet Theatre Company of the Komi Republic.
From 1997-2001, he was a soloist with the Saint-Petersburg Mussorgsky Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
In 2001, he joined the Mariinsky Theatre.
In the 2006/07 season, he joined the Bolshoi Ballet Company.

He won the Golden Mask National Theatre Prize in 2005 for his performance in "In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated."
