This audio recording was made by City of Riverview officials during a meeting with the Grosse Ile Bridge Company (GIBC) held on May 24, 2007. During this meeting, Riverview officials expressly stated that the GIBC could meet Riverview's ordinance that requires a fire hydrant to be within 300 feet of the GIBC's proposed new operations building in the toll plaza.

The following is a partial transcript of the recording made by Riverview officials:

GIBC Community Relations Director Greg Karmazin (26:33): When we previously talked, Mike, and Chief, from your standpoint, you didn't have any objection to us putting a fire hydrant over in that location that we had proposed [near the west end of the Toll Bridge along the north side of Bridge Road], right?

Riverview Fire Chief Tim Bosman (26:48): As long as the Township approves it, that's what we said the first time. As long as the Township approves it, and gives you a fire hydrant within 300 feet of the building.
