It's a pitiful argument, that we've been conditioned for anything and that personal choice separate from brainwashing and implanted ideas and values is not responsible for what we think and do. The same argument made by violent criminals and sociopaths, it's always everyone else. No, we are accountable and responsible for our thoughts and actions. No ones calling the shots on what's beautiful or attractive other than the eye of the beholder. And nature of course.

Yeah, but why can't I just naturally prefer lighter skin? Why can't I just naturally prefer thin to fat? Why does that have to be the product of slavery. Here's a good example, I prefer brown eyes to blue. I also prefer curly hair to straight. Does that mean that since I like light skin, brown eyes, and curly hair I'm only somewhat conditioned, since blue eyes and straight hair are the typical standard?

some people are just caught in this "society tells me this so I have no option" mentallity. It's a defeatist mindset, that we do not choose who we love, or what we think is beautiful. They talk about the past ALOT saying society conditions us etc. but tell you that you need to open your eyes and be like them. They are stuck. Be you, a human not a robot, you like what you like, but you already knew that. peace
