CGR trailers presents a trailer/preview for DmC (Tokyo Game Show 2010 trailer) from Capcom for the PlayStation 3/PS3 and Xbox 360. Below is an excerpt from a September 15, 2010 press release from Capcom announcing this member of the Devil May Cry franchise. Enjoy!

The next instalment of the multi-million selling Devil May CryTM franchise, DmC sees Capcom collaborating with UK based Ninja Theory to explore new frontiers for the series. DmC is in development for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.

From its debut on PlayStation 2 in 2001, the Devil May Cry series has been synonymous with stylish action, rewarding combat and a brash, smart-talking protagonist. This 'Devil May Cry DNA' remains but is now injected with a dark and brutal gameplay that promises to redefine the franchise.

Set against a contemporary backdrop, DmC will depict a duplicitous world where nothing is ever as it seems and the line between good and evil is constantly blurred. Spurred into action by the promises of a trusted relation, Dante bursts into this world intent on revenge at any cost. DmC will retain the series' signature mix of sword and gunplay but add additional weapons, all new powers and a revitalised gameplay system as players encounter the game's devilish mix of enemies and navigate the rich, interactive environment.

A true collaboration, DmC sees the team at Ninja Theory joined by key staff from Capcom's R&D division. Creative direction for the title will be undertaken by Ninja Theory's Tameen Antoniades and overseen by Hedeaki Itsuno, who has worked on all previous titles in the series. DmC is being co-produced by Capcom's Japanese and North American development operations.

  • Let me see... from reading all the comments... people are simply hating on his new look? Wow.. just wow.... judge a game by the gameplay not by the looks of a character. Personally I think this model of Dante is refreshing and bold. Now do not accuse me of not being a true and avid fan for I have played all the DMC games and have enjoyed myself. Some of the games sucked and some rose beyond my expectations. Alas I digress, do not rage about the looks of our demon hunter. Just wait to play.

  • @colin9413c mindless. the fact that you put DMC1 as the worst just makes you plain stupid. how can the first DMC be the worst when EVERYONE knows DMC2 was the worst. how about you leave the judging to the fans and Shut the fuck up.

  • DMC Reboot - Bosses look like spit out crap - Dante looks worse - Game play's not smooth and guns appear to be useless - Not a very cultural aspect, more like 90's rock - Girl following Dante could use some work. (She looks bald at times) - Dante smokes - No other weapons besides Rebellion's ability to transform - Transformation doesn't help the way Dante looks + The environment changes during game play + Uh..can't be the graphics Should so a reboot on Sparda in my opinion, not Dante.....
  • I feel like no one would have said anything bad about this trailer if the guy hadn't said: "My name is Dante." It still looks like a good game.

  • quite frankly I want to find out who ever designed that jacket so i can make romantic sweet sweet love on, in, and to them

  • Emo...

  • whats the name of the song in the video??

  • Okay guys, just want to set this record straight.

When the developers were creating RE3, they originally made Leon the main character and scrapped the first concept because it strayed too much away from the series. This scrapped concept became DMC1. This is why Leon and Dante look so much alike. This is part of the reason why they have changed his look, they want to make this game completely original and not a look-a-like. So haters, shut the fuck up and sit down. KTHX

  • @MemphDesuske finally someone who get its

  • This trailer really put me off, but seeing the newer ones, i gotta give it a chance. While I understand and respect those who wont try this game, I personally will give it a chance. Newer trailers seem to be redeeming and staying away from what this trailer brought up.
