I'm not sure of the meaning of this song, but it sounds to me like he had some sort of reason that he would have to leave his girlfriend and mother of his first daughter.. maybe the girlfriend was having relations with another man, and Darius found out, but his girlfriend was not aware yet... or maybe something else. but he talks about his daughter and I believe thats what he means by he doesnt want to live to see the day goodbye, he doesnt want to see his daughter go, nor tears in her eyes.
