Democrat Barack Obama is holding a slight edge nationally over Republican John McCain ... 46 percent to 42 percent ... among registered voters.That's according to the latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking update.=Meanwhile ... both candidates talked taxes while campaigning in key battleground states.In Missouri ... Obama says he offers fundamental change from Republican economic policies.He says those policies have hammered middle-class families ... and would continue under rival McCain. Obama'a pledging he won't raise taxes for families making less than 250-thousand dollars a year. =McCain is also trying to set himself apart from his Republican predecessors.Unlike Ronald Reagan and George Bush senior .... McCain says he will **not** raise taxes **or** support tax increases as president. He was campaigning in Colorado ...   • sad for you on this one. Obama plans to cut our defense by 80 billion, with shutting down nuclear warheads and no further research and no satillite defense. So, we're sitting ducks? He also introduced the 'Global Poverty Act' (S.2433), to 'spread the wealth around' to other countries for shelter, health care and living money for 'atleast 50% of those making less than 1 $ a day. So, running an economy and no defense? Also please note the Clinton by mandating banks give loans to the unqualified.

  • Even though I'm independent , I'm still going Democrat on this one. The Democrats know how to run a economy and they're less likely to be war mongers .
