I took lessons from Chapman, once a week for 8 years. He is ghastly underrated by everyone. Fact is, he always was and always will be an incredible guitarist. I sat 2 feet away from him for almost a decade in a 1 on 1 intimate setting. This guy will bury you with the fret board

Paul Chapman isn't a pimple on Schenker's ass!

I could not agree more..loved Paul Chapman..listen to him on Makin Movies - had a chance to meet him with UFO in the No Place To Run Tour - really good guy as well. He played with the UK band Lone Star just prior to joining UFO. I've seen their two LP's on Ebay (Uk imports) -thanks for sharing this

@DEEHARDONE I beg to differ. Not even overrated. Just so-so. His abilities are typical of a guitarist playing the casino or Applebee's circuit.

@ufo69691 My words to an exact science.

I love watching drunks perform onstage!
-
my dad plays in his band other guitar player...just had knee surgery

The Tonka-era of 1980-1983 produced some of UFO's best albums. His guitar solo on Doing It All For You (live) was the best of any UFO song, including Mad Mickey's!
Rock on!

CAN YOU HACK IT MORE?

Chapman was so underated on those great UFO records, following Schenker's departure.
The guy wrote great riffs & could play leads that were as good as mad Mikey.
