Cycle-Smart International--North Hampton Cat 4 (Sat)

The official race title is quite a mouth full: 21st Annual Cycle-Smart International / Verge New England Cyclocross Series Rounds 10 / Shimano New England Professional Cyclocross Series Round 5. Whatever... it's often just called NoHo, but I'm going to call it freezing. Hands and feet were numb at the start, and stayed that way until about 1/2 way through. Anyway, this is my Cat 4 effort. Looks like I came in 38th out of 130. This was the exact opposite of "my kind of course," but it was still fun!

Actually, I AM on a mountain bike... while 99% of racers use cyclocross bikes, I went back to my roots this year and built up a 29'er mountain bike with cyclocross tires... works great for me! I've had the best season so far on the mountain bike
