You've probably figured this out by the time you posted this video, but in case you haven't: You can buy silver ore from the dwarf that can craft the silver sword. You met him 1 or 2 parts ago, instead of selecting the craft option, ask to browse his wares. I believe he has timber also. Or just run around town and look for a stack of wood, there is timber all over the town, for example, theres a stack of wood next to the merchant you talked to in part 19 (he gives you the reward for the kraken).

It shows that he's on top of the merchant who should be in the basement of the one bar, but still, that's pretty funny it shows that.
