  • The funny thing was was that it was Fritz who brought him in to be a Von Erich after Mike nearly died from toxic shock. He always felt that there should be three Von Erichs and he thought Vaughn could be passed off as one. However, he forgot that Vaughn was a very popular high school athlete in the Dallas area and when people saw him calling himself a Von Erich they couldn't believe it. Also when Fritz came out and said he wasn't that pretty much cost him a lot of fans.

  • He should have kept his name and NEVER used the Von Erich's!!

  • @jerzeefranky3475 I think i remember it too. I remember Fritz saying, right on tv, that Lance wasn't a real Von Erich.

  • Here's the thing about Ricky/Lance...He wanted 2 wrestle 4 Wild West Wrestling...A 1-time off-shoot 4 WCCW...Which,I guess,was on the outs w/ WCCW after a bit of a while...He did it w/o Fritz's permission...& this led 2 Fritz calling-him-out on WCCW TV as a "Non-Von Erich"...& he had 2 later be simply known as "Fabulous Lance" from that point-on...As far as I can recall/remember of the scenario...

  • @lockenjr I actually heard Jaggers say that Buddy Rose didn't know how to work! O-M-G! Buddy was one of the best workers the business ever knew and will ever know!

  • I remember lance von eric even though he wasn't really related to them I enjoyed watching him in texas championship wrestling.

  • @CaseyDrummer I thought so but I heard his shoot interview and the way he talks about my childhood idol Roddy Piper as well has another one of my idols buddy rose talking about him deserving to be six feet under forget it now. You don't cross those two northwest icons he maid a mistake there...After the lord Roddy is the end all in my life and buddy was not far behind...long live portland wrestling and old school kptv 12

  • @lockenjr I still have his autograph from 85 that i got from him in Seaside Oregon, was a nice guy.

  • i have a piece of wrist tape from bobby jaggers till this day in late 84 I was at a match in my hometown of coos bay oregon when bobby took a piece of his wrist tape off and threw it out of the ring well I happened to be ringside that night and picked it up. I found it the other day when going through my childhood photo albulms.

  • i like how don coss says today when these were taped on saturday nights as they would do a two and a half hour show. the first 90 min for portland wrestling then the last hour would be taped for the syndicated big time wrestling. I bet lots of people wondered why the cameras were still rolling once portland would go off the air not realzing the last hour was being taped for big time. Ah the memories..It is kind of strange hearing don say big time instead of portland and not say kptv 12.
