Monday Nights New Voices: Chicago, produced by David Tomczak and Allen Sledge in association with Scott Alan, made its official debut in Chicago on April 21st 2008, at the Chicago Center for Performing Arts.

Hosted by the star of Wicked, Dee Roscioli, and attended by Scott Alan, the MNNV:Chicago honored many of Chicago's gems. Also from Wicked was the evening's music director, Colin Welford.

The series was proud to honor the songwriting team Jeff Thomson and Jordan Mann, winners of the 2008 Jonathan Larson Award. The 'new voices' being honored are Jamie Finkenthal, Riley Thomas, and two Jeff Award winners, Michael Mahler and Cat Davis.

Monday Nights New Voices: Chicago provides an opportunity for Chicago to embrace its own musical theatre community while welcoming its rising participants.

  • If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all...what was that last comment about. Sometimes people confuse focus with being wrapped up in yourself. This is a very talented guy...

  • My Lord I hated this guy when I was in high school with him. He was really annoying because he was wrapped up in himself. Don't get me wrong, I think he has some talent. However, he always expected people to bow down to him when he took the stage. It's a fact that his voice is only good enough to take part in the worst of the worst off (x20) broadway plays. He's not very good looking either. His family is the same way.

  • Do you happen to be the Michael Mahler that sang with the Minnetonka Children's Choir back in the day...?

  • I smile so wide you can feel it from Homer, NY. More. MORE!!
