@DrBrodski Nice one. Very well put. I am not knocking the Kawasaki in all honesty. Even Triumph make a fair few bikes in Thailand now and many components are made (brakes) in Japan clocks (Taiwan) etc etc etc. The Japanese are great copyists IMHO.
@casperdog777 Agreed that a Bonneville has more street cred, but this is a reincarnation of Kawasaki's own W1 from the 60's and it's based on on a BSA. Both Triumph ans Kawasaki are using EFI these days, so the the die-hard fans that are looking for the "real-thing" should buy a 30 year old thumper and adjust the carbs each weekend whilst listening to "Dark-side of the Moon" on vinyl. Meanwhile those of us that appreciate timeless design and reliability will be out riding.
