BBC Micro game Chuckie Egg

My junior school from 1998 to 2004 still kept 3 of the bbc master computers with their 5.25 disk drive with actual floppy floppy disks just because all of us students loved this game so much you could book a computer at lunch time and these were always first to be booked.
god so many memories.

Yes, the BBC (and Electron) versions were the best. Speccy had horrid colour clash and the C64 version (indeed any C64 game) had such dull colours. Great memories of this gem. They were the days of REAL programming and ingenuity.

my class in primary school was as well , i was never any good at the game but I too remember the thrills of watching someone play this an get really far as a kid .eventually cos all the kids were so addicted the headmaster banned it 4 a while .i agree with u in sayin "brilliant game"

I got to 34 and that was after a small heart attack... the flying chicken is a pussy.....

if you press jump and up when you meet a ladder, you srt of fly up the ladder! quite useful!

This game was written and published by a couple who lived near Cheetham Hill in Manchester and worked from the front room of their house. These days it would take a 30-strong team of IT professionals working from a big office block. Games were magic back then.
