  • very nicely done...i think John would be proud....he would have a smile on his face if he was able too see this...and i think he would say "WOW"...is this for me???....and then smile....

  • @TheXXXDB That would be some honor. Thanks for the great compliment.

  • Beautiful tribute. I think I'm wearing out the replay button! Thanks so much for taking the time to make such a great video and share it with the rest of the world.

  • @jencom1971 Thanks for watching, and i'm glad you like it, just don't break your buttons or you wont be able to watch anymore! :) I figure John has been gone way to long (although it seems like he died yesterday), and if the world could use one person during these crazy times we live in it would be him. That's why I made the video, hoping it would re-light his "spark" to people to remember his messages from a better time.

  • Thank you. I miss him so much. He was the only person that could ever express what I felt for the mountains and wilderness. He was the embodiment of the sentiment of his time. .. and mine. You did an incredible job with this dedication. Thank you. Perfect song choice....

  • @4882pogo Very glad you enjoyed it. You hit the nail on the head with what you said about him being the embodiment of the sentiment of his time. Well said.

  • Amazing song and video!! He was the embodiment of all things good! His music is needed more than ever. The younger generation, by the greatness of Youtube, will find out how awesome John was!!!!!!!!! Miss you John

  • *sigh* I remember when Forever John came out, I picked up that first copy in Boulder, drove up with my sweetheart to the Canyon, it was a misty-cold sort of evening ... and listening to it as we were parked there next to the creek, strait through. THIS video brought that feeling back to me, just now...so strong... 12yrs?

  • Such a special person and artist. Consummate folk singer and guitarist. His songs are the poetry that echos through our lives. He makes me think of my youth in the 1970s and 1980s. I'm glad he was one of our heroes. His story continues to be written and his imapact continues..... God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. • Well done! My heart still breaks knowing that this bitty little Earth of ours, that needs all the help it can get, lost such a loving, caring man such as he. His voice, his work........goes on just missing a bit of it's "Heart" is all.♥

  • How could anyone dismiss the a voice that speaks so powerfully and mysteriously to a heart? R.I.P. John Denver, you are stilled loved so dearly!

  • John would say,"Far out....

    "

  • Happy Birthday John, thank you for the foot prints you've left on our little planet and our heart. Rest in Peace My Friend

  • Happy Birthday John!

  • He was and still is very loved. I hope he knew that at some time. Happy Birthday in heaven, JD.

  • Still get the chills and the tears. Still can't believe he's gone. Of all well-known people ever that we've lost in my lifetime, I continue to think about him more than anyone. I do think about Karen Carpenter a lot too, so it is ironic that she is in this video. At least we will always have his music to hear and feel. His spirit truly lives on! Happy birthday, John...

  • Today would be his 68th birthday. His words & music carried me through my tumultuous teens & young adulthood, motherhood, parenting, and divorce. I could not have survived without his wisdom to carry me through very tough times. My children, now adults, know every word to every song, as do I. I sang his words & played his music on my guitar for them as they were growing up, & to this day they thank me for that. I thank John for being there when I needed him most. I miss you, John. Rest in Peace.
